There have been a few technical problems recently and as a result they cannot send out as many work units as normal. Please bear with the situation until it is resolved.

The original "SETI Classic" was supposed to be 2 years. It lasted 6. I don't think there is a planned end to SETI/BOINC, as there are more different sources of data and ways to analyze the data being worked on.

They are also going to try to reuse the same data collected for AstroPulse. When you can show "multiple use" of source data collected you stand a better chance of getting funding and support. The costs of data collection are lower for each project also ...
