I have mutiple computers and I have in the past connected to all of them with the File,Select Computer dialog. Recently two of them have refused to talk to each other in that I am requested to enter a password, which I noticed seemed to be automatically entered before. How can I determine what password it wants or how can I set a new password? |

Recently two of them have refused to talk to each other in that I am requested to enter a password, which I noticed seemed to be automatically entered before. How can I determine what password it wants or how can I set a new password? After some research I am able to answer my own question. The file in the Boinc directory (folder) called gui_rpc_auth.cfg (if present) will contain a password for use with that client (on that CPU). The password may also be a blank (CR/LF) and must always be created in plain text. |
