These are "normal" situations.

These types of error are also very common right after an outage.

However, if they persist, you may have networking problems. For that, others will have to help. But, BONIC is quite capable and will do the right thing for almost all errors. Give it a little time to do its job.

Anyone seen this error msg before:


13/12/2005 23:19:16|SETI@home|Temporarily failed download of 30se04aa.19154.25345.404820.208: system I/O


I've got about 30 of these now - since about 11pm UTC tonight.

Is this an I/O error at my end or at SETI's end?

Either way the WU's didn't download and are now re-trying.

Another PC also suffering from a "Couldn't connect to hostname" error.

This is since 23:08 UTC.

Has something just happened??
