I switched all of my computers from Classic SETI to BOINC, purchased a SETI Diploma frame, and would like to print a SETI Diploma. At http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/cert_print.php is a page that will print out a Diploma style certificate showing the total number of workunits crunched in Classic SETI. I would like to print out that Diploma style certificate that fits in a SETI Diploma frame, but the Diploma shows that I have completed 6575 work units, and I actually have 14540 work units completed as listed in the "Individual Users Statistics" SETI Classic section. Are the numbers at http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/cert_print.php going to be updated? Is there some way to change the numbers on that Diploma? |

Those numbers are the same numbers in your account currently, which are from 15-March 2005. This information has to be ported over, and takes more than 24 hours to do, so they are awaiting Classic to be shut down before they do the final port. I am suspecting with all the other things going on, and the holidays to arrive soon that the port will not happen until sometime Q1 2006. My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

Pooh Bear - thanks for the reply! A question - why the pseudonymn instead of using your real name? I used my real name for six years on Seti Classic without any problems. Is there a reason to not use my real name on Seti Boinc? |

I use the pseudonymn because it's how most people know me, since HS. I was tagged Winny and Winny the Pooh Bear. When I started BBSing in the 80's it was my unique login name, since only 8 letters could be used on most places for names. I just kept it. As you notice the T-Shirt in my picture has Pooh Bear on it. It's kind of stuck. Everyone from HS and shortly after all call me that. Most current people call me my first shorted name of Tim. I am just so used to it. My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |
