I can't either upload or download anything for a couple of days now. This is starting to be a regular occurrence under the "new" SETI under BOINC and although I've been a regular contributor for a while after a hiatus from SETI, I'm just about ready to give it up as a lost cause. I'm seeing postings that downloading is fine, it's just a temporary problem with uploading but that's now what I'm seeing. Be honest about the problems and you might convince people to hang around. I don't have big computing power, I'm just a little guy, but I can't even find anywhere that says "I'm tied with 1000 other people who have contributed more than 92% of the others" kind of statistic any more, so I guess I'm not important to SETI any more ... goodbye pretty soon ... |

Pretty much in the same boat. I converted to BOINC on 12/2 due to the constant "you need to switch" messages popping up in SETI Classic. Unfortunately, SETI BOINC is not yet ready for prime time. I don't care what the news postings are saying. I got 2 days worth of downloads on 12/2 and I haven't been able to connect AT ALL since then. For you SETI people reading this, that's 100% unavailability for both uploads and downloads. I'd have hope if I got an occasional connection but it's been completely dead since 12/2. As a result, I've suspended the SETI project in my BOINC Manager and pretty much moved on to other projects. Might check back in a few weeks to see if it's working again. |

har99's stats Hope that helps, Boincstats.com imports the stats from here, it's not a real time update as there's a certain lag behind but they update several times a day I believe. By the way, what I did was typed your username in the search field and then under the options section on the right hand side I clicked on the bar graph icon. Also sorry to all, for some reason I thought this thread was in the number crunching section. Humanity United |

I can't either upload or download anything for a couple of days now. . I have the same problem. I´ve been using boinc for more than a month and it was making a good job. But for the last couple days I coudn´t upload or download anything. I made some mistake and erase 2 or 3 unit I had already processed. What´s going on? What could I do? Please send the answer in my e-mail. ilium@ibestvip.com.br Regards, Ronaldo R Pedrao Brasil |

HI, I read another thread and all of this unable to upload and download is due to incompatibilities and conversion of servers. It should be better after a couple of weeks (I hope). Here's the link to the post: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=24340#206378 |

Copy and paste this link: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ Read the Dec. 8 news and click on the "Technical News" link. Anytime you experience difficulty with a project check the home page. To access the home page bring up BOINC manager, click on the "Projects" tab, and highlight the name of the program. On the left of the panel a list of options will appear. Under the "Web sites" you will find a link to the project home page. Most of the programs have some information about problems such as the one we are experiencing with the ul/dl. |
