If you restart you machine, wait 10 minutes then copy and paste you're log from the "messages" tab, I could see more and tell you if the outage is to blame or something else

O.k., you're actually doing better right now than a lot of people have been for several days, perhaps over a week: you are getting the "connected to localhost" notice. Now you just can't seem to either attach to the project, or get WU's.

FYI: go to the SETI@Home Main Page and read the news section (click the Technical News link). Give it some time, it'll shake out soon enough. I urge you to sign up for some other project in the mean time. At least it'll get your laptop crunching on something in the meantime.

I've downloaded and installed BOINC, got an account with SETI & an account key, I'm told I'm even connected to a local host but nothing seems to be working. On my work PC I get a screensaver where all the number crunching is shown, on my laptop, nothing.
