First off: there is a search function. If you click the "message board" button in the Project tab, it'll take you to the message board page, there is a search window there. Also, you'll notice there's a Q&A link on that page. If you click that, it'll take to a Q&A page, and there's a search window there too.

Anyways, SETI search wouldn't have helped much; the DLL you mention is not used by BOINC. OLEACC.DLL is part of MS Active Accessibility Support <- ex-bad link (sorry bad formatting, is good to go now, BTW)

Did you upgrade Win98 from Win95. That smells like it could be the culprit.

If you were a Windows 95 user that upgraded to Windows 98, your system may not have the necessary accessibility components. If you're into fun and games:

Download the file from the internet to C:\\Windows\\System

Then: start, run, enter regsvr32.exe oleacc.dll, hit ok to register the DLL into the registry bee-hive. It should confirm it. If it gives you grief about not being able to find it, then try entering regsvr32.exe C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM\\OLEACC.DLL. You may have to play around with that (quotes around stuff, spelling out full pathname to regsvr32.exe, whatnot). If you do have trouble with that, it may just be easier (provided you don't particularly mind doing so), to turn something extra on:

Enable "Accessibility Options" component in Control panel, and then magically OLEACC.DLL should appear by itself (presto/chango) in C:\\windows\\system (Or should as it's part of the accessibility stuff).

If you aren't into fun and games like that, just go to PestPatrol and click on the link that says "Download msaardk.exe". Execute the file once you've downloaded it.

The msaardk.exe file is a Microsoft program for Win95 users that upgrades the OLEACC.DLL package. The program is about 1.2Megabytes and is no longer available directly from Microsoft. It only installs the components that you need.

My apologies for not checking all 134 pages of already answered question to see if this has been asked before, how about a search function?
I did check the first five and the last three before my brain melted.

But anyway I have installed Boinc 5.2.13 on my windows 98, Cyrix 200+ internet PC and I get this error when starting boincmgr.exe
Error starting program
A required DLL file. OLEACC.DLL. was not found.

After searchng my hard drive for the file I agree with the eror message that this file does not exist on my pc.
Where do I get it from and where do I put it?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
