As far as I can remember, the default setting in General preferences regarding "Do work while computer is in use?" is set at "no".
This means that if your PC is running, Boinc is suspended and therefore when trying the screensvaer this one will say that Boinc is suspended.

You don't know the history of the thing.

Up to versions 4.xx one had to enter the account key. People complained about the long complicated entry.

So with the change to 5.x.x they made it a password.

People complained again, because they did not know what password.

So it was changed again to accept either the account key or the password.

AFAIK the processing is as follows:

- Enter your account key
OR
-Go to 'your account' and set yourself a password. Then enter this password.
Not sure, but I think after having set a password entering the account key won't work any more.

This Boink has been hard to set up and the Bionk programing team has not made it any easier. I am running the latest version, 5.2.13. During the account activation I was converting my old Classic SAH account to Boink. It asked for my e-mail address and password. I entered the password over and over and it said "not valid" each time. So I finally entered my account key instead of the password. It worked. Idiots had said enter password where they should have said account key. Account key was supposed to have been done away with in version 5.2.13 so why it is still required, you will have to ask them. It is just another example of the double talk I have seen in the "help" section of this software.

Also, did anyone ever actually receive a password? I sure didn't. I had to jumb through all sorts of hoops to get one. Then when it was asked for, they wanted the account key instead.

And, what's with the preferences? They make it sound like the thing is going to run and take over most of your hard drive and system resources! It's very vaige and confusing. What do the selections mean? What are the best selections?
