Like you, I guard my E-Mail address fairly closely. I'm here helping people and I'm happy to do so because my address is protected.

I'm a volunteer. I don't get paid. None of the people who are here to answer your question actually works for SETI or U.C. Berkeley.

As a volunteer, I read your message, and it's really hard to seperate your question from the shouting, from the expletives, etc.

Could you perhaps restate your question? Where you see the word "suspended" may be as important as the word itself. Also, we can probably help more if you give us the last 20 lines on the "messages" tab.

Also make sure you haven't accidentally checked 'Suspend' and 'Network activity suspended'. You will find them under the 'File' or 'Commands' menus in Boinc Manager.

I have downloaded. I have installed YOUR NEWEST SOFTWARE TONIGHT (Dec 2). I have selected ... "attached" ... 3 projects. But the installed screen saver says BOINC is suspended. WHAT GIVES WITH THIS NEAR NONSENSICAL SETUP? HOW CAN THIS THING BE "SUSPENDED?" I want to run the program when my Screensaver is activated. I have Windows XP SP2, running on a Dell Dimension 2350 -- and I should NOT have to be a programmer to participate or make sense of needlessly mysterious crap. The verbiage and language is so obtuse that I cannot tell if the "suspended" refers just to my computer, or to your entire project. You have further provided no contact address for help, and no phone number for help. I am an individual user at a tiny lawfirm, and want to make my minor contribution. Why is this so needlessly difficult? AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO COME TO A DAMN FORUM TO GET ANSWERS.
