Hey, thanks everyone. I still don't know how to find them by myself, but I have the page bookmarked. 29th out of 1066 - and I just added another host about an hour ago!

This is fun.!

It's easy!

Go to BOINCstats, perform a search on your username (top left) and look for your username in the search results. On the same line of your username, under options, you see a blue-ish icon: click it (if you're looking for SETI results, you better click the icon under the SETI search results).

Now you are on your detailed stats page, with lots of information about your progress and a bit about the past. Look for
Sign-up date xxxx-xx-xx
Position in 'sign-up date' stats X
Link to position in 'sign-up date' stats here

And click on 'here'. This will take you to a page of all the people that signed up on the same date as you did.

Badly formed HTML tag there, and the incorrect date format - correct one is
http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=sah&date=1133222400&st=0&to=100

Different fora, different tag formats. I just 'guessed' the date format. Sorry.

Thanks Bill for the corrected link. So we found PeterZ sign-up-date-class finally. Maybe he can bookmark your link.

Maybe the stats-page for 2005-11-29 will be filled if enough data from users who signed up on this date is available. The stats-page exists already, but seems to be empty.

EDIT:: you fixed the tag, but still something wrong in the date; it SHOWS the same date, but different data. ?????

None of the stats sites I have looked at seem to offer that for anyone without a SETI Classic account.

I'm very confused... I look at BoincStats, and for Rosetta (which would certainly not be related to Classic in any way) there is a section:

Sign-up date 2005-10-25
Position in 'sign-up date' stats 3
Link to position in 'sign-up date' stats here

When I look at my SETI stats on the same site, I see my Classic signup date, but I would think that anyone without a Classic date would just have their BOINC date.

I would talk to the people at the stats site about why it isn't on your SETI page. Obviously the data is already in the xml being exported, unless there's some SETI-only bug on new accounts.

You can look at the xml yourself and see, even if it would be a manual search.

EDIT:: I just looked at YOUR stats and it is there!

As a newbie who started on this 11/29 I see little point in tracking my progress against the world or even the US. What I was looking forward to was tracking against all of the other people who started (at least on Boinc) at the same time I did. That would be fun.

None of the stats sites I have looked at seem to offer that for anyone without a SETI Classic account. My friend in the cube next to me, who has been doing SETI since 2000 can check his Boinc Stats against all of the other people who started on SETI the same day he did. It is available for him on BOINCstats.com, but that link on my stats is not there.

Does Boinc or SETI/Boinc track join date in the XML data the stats are extracted from? If so, perhaps I can generate a script to sort users by date joined and the post results by date/user. I would probably start just doing it for myself, but might eventually put up a stats site that allows users to check on status by date joined.
