Sorry for this late answer but i simply forgot this post in here ... @Bill Barto I used this URL: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu @JKeck {SAH} I dont set a proxy in BOINC. Im behind a Server who does only allow Connections on Port 80. Can this be the Problem? Greez godlike

Check firewall/proxy settings. It sounds like you are not getting through for some reason (the server may be having problems too). It bears repeating to check for extra spaces at the begining and end of the URL and authenticator. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Be sure you do not have an extra space at the start or end of the URL. The URL is "http://setiathome.berkeley.edu" (without the quotation marks). Greetings from Belgium. Help Desk: use "Most recent answer first" sorting |

I have a problem getting BOINC up and running. I used copy & past to put my URL in the “attach project box†but it comes back with Could not get main page, check url and try again. I have a Pentium 4 possessor running windows XP and IE6. My connection to the web is via Telewest Broadband. I am using an as yet un-networked home computer. |
