Did you compile the kernel yourself or did it came from your distribution (wich one?)

Second thing would be to try an upgrade to a kernel 2.6.X

It came with the distribution here

Well it does'nt seem so be possible to upgrade to a recent kernel :-(
You should stick to the generic one on metod's page.

@Crunch3r---It looks like you're done with John. Please look back several posts to my similar problem. It may be more intriguing since I am running kernel 2.6.13 on a current release of SuSE.

It looks like network access breaks the process.

I'll try to build a new version for P3 and post it when it's done to take a further look into the problem you've got.

If you feel in need of running an optimized BOINC 5.2.x
you should take a look at my page.

You can chose between an
optimized windows or linux boinc version

I've updated the windows version of the optimized Boinc to 5.2.11.

The linux versions will be updated soon.

I got even more improvement over your 5.27!

Crunch3r, great work on the optimized clients. I hate to ask the question, but any chance working on the 5.2.12 for Windows optimized for AMD 64 X2?

Now that Rom has gone off to Australia for a couple of weeks, it seems likely that 5.2.13 is going to be it for a while. Any chance you could be persuaded to replace the 5.2.11 versions on your site with 5.2.13 thanks? It would be much appreciated, thank you.

Weren't .12 and .13 just attempts at trying to fix graphics issues? If thats all it was then there's no point in updating the optimised client.
