Was the email addresss "orionstargate@geocities.com" the address of the account on 15 Mar 2005? If it wasn't then you must use the address that was being used for the account at that time. |

To recover password of seti classic If you have access to your Classic Seti files the open user_info.sah in notepad, or similar, and copy the contents into the form below to recover your password. If not, and you can remember your Classic Seti email address, even if it is not your current address, then install Seti Classic again, link for version 3.08 here (direct download link), if needed. Use you old email address to get relevant information. Stop Seti Classic and follow instruction above. This page uses the user_info.sah file from your Classic SETI folder to extract your Classic password. With that information, your BOINC account key and your current email address, you can go to this page and link the Classic to the BOINC. Use the top section for your Classic seti email address and the third section on this form for the BOINC information and the classic password. |

To get your credits you NEED to sign up here with your 'old' SETI email address. After you have a successful signup, you can change your email address to whatever you like. If you don't know your password, you can request it by using the password retrieval tool on the classic website. If you don't have access to your old email account anymore, then you are in bad luck. You won't get your credits back. Also, there is no way to add credit from the classic account to the BOINC account you created. If you still have access to your old email address I suggest you change the email address of the account you created, get your password, activate your account here, and then change the email address in your preferences. My ID for classic is orionstargate@geocities.com. I now wanted to change it to orionstargate@yahoo.com. I have entered my password and the system says bad password or no orionstargate@geocities.com account. I setup a account of orionstargate@yahoo.com with the new 'system' but all my credits have been lost. I started SETI@home shortly after it was shown on ABC Nightly News. Can I get my past credits applied to the orionstargate@yahoo.com account...please. In advance, thank you. |
