What is my proxy server and port #

When trying to attach a project, it asks me about my proxy server. This is before asking for my account key. |

In most cases the defaults (everything blank) will work, if not you can check your internet options (in Internet Explorer: extra -> internet options -> connections tab -> LAN-settings, if I recall correctly) for the proxy server you use. Welcome to BOINC |

This is triggered if there is too long a delay contacting the server. This means that either your connection is slow, or the server is overloaded. What version of BOINC are you running? The timeout was increased recently to reduce the number of spurious requests for proxy information. BOINC WIKI |
