Larin, one user just reported that they get what you see in your log, if there is a missing number or spaces in the front or back of the key/password. If you're copy and pasting, make sure you're not missing a number and that there are no spaces. Let me know.

I'm starting to think that it's not a port issue, since the others can connect to other projects. Boinc is using the same ports to connect to them, and that (to my mind) says it's seti related, not on your end. However, it's only you 4 so far out of 20,000 new boinc users. That means it's a very small portion of the users that are affected, and tends to point back at your set up.

I really wish management would come here. I know they are busy. My fellow volunteers and I have handled all the rest of the problems, I think the least they could do is figure out this issue. Especially since it seems to be Seti specific and is being experienced by more than one user. I'm getting frustrated and I'm not in your position, all mine work wonderfully.

Heck, I even have it on my daughters puter off at college. I installed it as a service and yanked boinc manager from the startup menu so she doesn't know it's there. It's attached to 5 projects and hasn't missed a beat. The point is that once installed it tends to itself well, and requires no user intervention. Of course it you want to tinker or learn more and optimize you can, but you don't have to.

I set the password some time ago I have tryed with password and with key.
I just went and reset pass word gave it a min and tryed with password hear is the results

I think its just for the initial setup, then it's the standard connections.

I hope this information will help this is the full log from boinc manager after a cold boot
The first try to attach I used email and password the next I used email and key.
The "failed with a return value of 500" happens most of the time,
but sometimes it will say "failed with a return value of 182".
Here is a list of ports I have opened as well.

43 TCP/UDP
80 TCP/UDP
443 TCP/UDP
1043 TCP/UDP
3141 TCP/UDP

I might be on the track of something, can you see if you have port 443 open, its the ssl secure sockets layer. your passwords/key are transmitted via HTTPS (secure) and it appears to be where this is failing.
