I have tried to get used to the new Seti Interface
There seems nowhere on the site to send message to "Seti"
I would like to say that
a: I can't logon to new site without the most arcane password
b: I miss not being able to see where I am in the comminity ie, "you have completed work units than 82.878% - or something.
Unless the new interface is improved, I will find another screensaver - I don't suppose you are bothered - why did you change and make less easy to use??

One might have the fine idea to ask questions in here - and you had it, even if it must have been primarily to rant off some frustration...

a) There are some fine "hot to" guides here. Especially note this.

In ver. 5.2.X of BOINC there has been built in a prompt for a password so that in the future noone will have to enter the 'most arcane password' (=account key). If using one of these versions you'll be prompted for a password instead of the account key. Thus you will previously have to go to 'your account' -> 'change password' and set yourself something less arcane. I write this because the 'How to' is not yet updated in this respect.

b) Stats of BOINC is something which is obviously better done by 3rd party sites than by Seti. These sites can include several or all projects one might be attached to, not only one. And such sites exist. Loke one this page. My personal favourite is boincstats, but that's very individual.

BTW: I've been to your country for a holiday in September, Edinburgh - Highlands - MacKay Land - Mull - Glasgow. Absolutely marvellous - I'll be back one day. One even understands the language, if he knows that 'pipe' is pronouced like 'pape' ;-)=

I agree with Barbarossa. www.boincstats.com is great! I use it all the time.

You can have rankings by total credit, credit/day, recent average credit etc. Do a search on your exact name. Then if you click on the Details icon on the right of your information line, you can get stats by your country, sign-up date, and more.

Admittedly, boinc seems a little harder to use in the beginning but, take it from me, once you get used to it, it's a lot better than the classic and you can participate in many projects at the same time.

Don't knock it, this is scientific progress.
