Yeesss .... According to Rom's post on another thread, because of the "too many files" problem the file deleters and transitioners were competing with the validators. So they turned the validators off to let the transitioners/assimilators/deleters catch up. Now the transitioners/assimilators/deleters are off to give the validators a clean shot at the file system. I would expect to see a pattern like this all weekend: some things on, some things off, depending on what is ahead and what is running behind. |

But I noticed that the file deleter is still off. What does this mean? Just my guess: The deleters may be off for a while. The thinking might be that some peoples work has timed out (see falling in progress and rising read to send). Deleting the results that have already validated in quorums will result in more orphans (3 out of 4 deleted, one still out there and overdue). So they are probably not going to be deleting things until the major deluge of uploads have concluded. However they can't leave the deleters off for long or we could end up in trouble again. Of course that's just my guess. 7,049 S@H Classic Credits |

Hi Maybe its finnished deleting. But what makes me wonder is that the validators are running but the assimilators did not. update: The file deleters are running again. So it will need more time. greetz Mike With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |
