Nope. When using localhost (or empty or 127.0.0.1) the pwd-field normally stays empty. Unless you have given to this access a pwd yourself, which I don't believe.

The account key (together with the given URL in the same e mail) is used when attaching to a project.

I've downloaded and installed Boinc but when I run the Boinc manager I get an error message window that simply says "Connection failed." No idea why this is the case--my Internet connection is high-speed and always on, other things connect instantly. Is there something special I have to configure? The manager also does not save the URL and account key information when I try to add the SETI project. Further, now my old SETI software won't even run. I'm very frustrated.
