IIRC this already used to be so with good old VAX-VMS. But why is it a 'whine' for you?

You use Universe64 as your password. You can type it in as universe64 and as Universe64, both are accepted. I am a mean cracker. I don't like you. I know your email address and I have a program that can search for your password. I am a mean cracker.

How long does it take me to crack that password and edit your settings for Boinc, you think?

Now, your password is UnivERsE64 .. how much longer do you think my program will take?

What was said on the developer's list:
If passwords are case sensitive, then since ASCII chars 32-126 are
allowed, and there is a six char min, this allows a min set of 95^6=735
091 890 625 passwords. Making them case insensitive drops this to 69^6 =
107 918 163 081 six char combinations. The odds of guessing a password
are thus extremely small, even if they are case insensitive.

I want the odds to be as big as possible. So you can't guess my password is RedRoVeR&45. :)

Ok, since my other thread got crapped on so badly, I decided to recreate it and close the original. Not to mention certain individuals taking my list of whines and modifying it for their purpose. Hence, these 2 simple rules:
