RAM is not compatible, so I can't swap it, or even use the 2 sticks of 256MB from when I upgraded my laptop to 1GB...

Can't take the PS2/Keyboard connector off the Dell to put on GTC, it's soldered.

When you open up Solitaire on the Dell the desktop graphics look like it's trying to go into "Safe Mode"....

Oh yeah, I forgot, NO SOFTWARE!!! for either one of them...

AAAARGH!
I hate it when I know damn well, that IF I was there, I could probably rectify the problem!

Why does remote technical support have to be so difficult?

[whine]I hate getting involved in designing a website and related database only to be cut out by a colorblind self appointed know-it-all related to one of the bosses of the company whose excess equipment the site is intended to sell just before the big deal is finalized.[/whine]

You, eberndl, and John MacLeod had done what you all could to help, and then still "Yes, but ... and Berkeley sucks!!!"! You get the picture! ;-)

I hate people who won't listen to advice when I give it 10 times, but the second someone else says it, they try what I suggested in the first place (Happened on the Einstein boards last week, was thoroughly annoyed)

I hate Bus drivers who try to run me over when I'm biking home from work.

I hate cyclists who run a red light and nearly run me over when I have the walk signal... and then say "red means go for socialists".....

I hate how my CP unit will go into EDF and run for about 15 days (straight) in the beginning of Jan '06.

I love the whine thread though.

tekwyzrd here wouldn't have been posting still if I hadn't just ignored his "yes but" and hadn't had a little help from Paul B. in intelligent posting. :)

Ageless, it was more posts like this and other posts by the same character in that thread, I was thinking of! You, eberndl, and John MacLeod had done what you all could to help, and then still "Yes, but ... and Berkeley sucks!!!"! You get the picture! ;-)

I hate it when children come to my thread to rant about what they know nothing about, only to come off sounding like a whining child.... Told you, ignore doesn't work, too much of the curiosity factor....

This is an extended version:

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they pissed me off.

>> And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on today as they may be connected to the ass that I may have to kiss tomorrow.
Help me to always give 100% at work....
12% on Monday
23% on Tuesday
40% on Wednesday
20% on Thursday
5% on Fridays

And help me to remember.....
>>When I'm having a really bad day, and it seems that people are trying to piss me off, that it takes 42 muscles to frown and only 4 to extend my middle finger and tell them to bite me!
>> Amen :-)

I admire the patience of the people who bother to help these people, they should all be granted a UOTD status every month!

Will be difficult. I don't have a profile and no intend to make one either. ;)

????

I reached the point where I've accepted that though there's problems running BOINC on my system, I'm in the minority and there's no solution available. I just have to accept it and hope things get better as the software evolves.

I hate it when people (you know who you are!) can't or won't spell BOINC

Its not BIONIC
Its not BONIC
Its not BOINK
Its not BIONIK
Its not BIONC
Its not BIONK

Rant Over...

I used to hate it, but I have learned to accept that BOINC is hard for people with a hint of dyslexia to spell right.

But what I hate the most is when people come on the boards and rant about BOINC without even bother to look things up themselves!

I hate it when people can't think in abstractions, so if they even bothered to read in the threads on the boards, but specially on Number's and on the Q&A boards, they can't think of the solutions and explanations given there as something, they themselves can learn from!

I hate the people, who come here and start to ask specific questions about their own system, which is exactly the same as the other hundred thousands, and when they then bait some kind people into helping them, they start a game of "Yes, but ... !" where, no matter what they are suggested to do, the same answer comes every time "Yes, but ... !" And at the end after days and weeks of helping specifically them, they rant on BOINC, because nothing and nobody helped after all!

I admire the patience of the people who bother to help these people, they should all be granted a UOTD status every month!
