I am running Boinc Version 4.45 and my workunits are not being uploaded.

Am I the only person experiencing this problem or are others?

Any solutions?

It's happening to everyone. I have over 48 hours worth on each of my computers to upload. The SETI team is looking into it.

I wonder what has gone wrong. In any case you have to ask yourself why do they seem to have a single point of failure.

Same here, and no download also. Weird.

Things started glitching after the outage on 13July2005.
At first nothing up or down ...
on 16July, started downloading OK but no uploads ...
early hours of 18July, a few uploads went but the rest got bombed ...
so, something is happening in Berkley but ... not a lot!

Being on dial-up, I disable network during my working hours - just to stop the modem going into meltdown ;-)

Woooo! Another one just uploaded - maybe things will be near-normal by the weekend ... then, again, maybe Lance will be a seven-times winner first!

This question is asked, over and over, in many forums. Read the front page. They know there is a problem, as of late Friday night. As I post this, it is only approximately 4:30 at Berkeley. They will be working on it, today.

Now with the long issue all weekend, when it does get fixed, it will still take time to get the backlogged cleared. So another couple of days, at least.

Patience. Smile. Crunch. At least you can download and are not out of work.

Seriously, tho' folks, it could be that there's a few thousand of us out here all trying to grab 1% of server resource ... and guess what (if you can't handle the arithmetic) somebody is going to get blown off - in the ratio of tens-to-one.

Keep plugging away and BE PATIENT :-)

There just seems to be too many problems happening too often with the BOINC Seti. The old Classic Seti may have been limited in what it could do, but at least I enjoyed using it. The BOINC version is proving to be far too much hassle and I am now considering quitting it altogether.

I just thought that that the Uploads were an optional extra which I hadn't configured somewhere.

I now have 25 units to upload. Seems that only occasionally does anything make it through to the servers. Supposedly the servers would have caught up from the backlog by now, what is going on?

AFAIK, the guys who support SETI and BOINC are volunteers - doing for love ... give them a break. Would you give up your weekend or sleep because something is working below 100% efficiency? Dam' sure I wouldn't if I wasn't being heavily subsidised.

I disagree .

SETI and the other BOINC projects are not downloading data.

My SETI account has been 'idle' for 22 days, and the others are getting to that level.

The whole thing is slowly grinding to a halt, and I am not the only one thinking of ditching the whole scheme.

I continue to believe that if we got a little more feedback from the team at Berkeley we'd all be more patient with their work. If you notice, the last message from them was that they put a 3x larger server
in place to "solve" the problem and that more info would be forthcoming. Well, as far as I can tell, the new server has not made one bit of difference to the problems I'm experiencing and we have not info from them. I am just about at the point where all of my WUs will be expriring soon and I can't upload completed results. Well, to be accurate, I can upload the results but BOINC has to contact the scheduler to "register" the completed result. I have had and continue to get "Internal Server Error" messages when trying to contact the server. (You can get more info by turning on debugging) I don't beleve that its a network latency problem because the error comes back way too quickly for that.
