How long - after the outage is over - will it take before the first people start posting they can't get through to the scheduler?
My guess is 17 minutes, 53 seconds after Berkeley is online again.

What? there is an outage? LOL

Shows how well I pay attention to my clients. I figure they well reach the server when the server and client are both good and ready, not a second before.

Optimist.

Since this forum will be down as well, I would say 1 min after this forum is back up.
Otherwise 1 hour after shut down.

Why do you think they will wait until the project is back up?

They will be asking on the other projects.......

It'll cost some time to type in the question and add a paste of the messages tab, John. So 2 minutes is quite optimistic. :)

Make it 3 minutes, 45 seconds for me.

I wonder how long it will take for people to add to these forums (when they're back up) and other forums out there, that they didn't get credit over that time, or the many days following it. ;)

Depends really on the definition of "outage over." When the web site is back up? When the scheduler is turned back on? When there is a notice on the web site saying we are now back on line but the scheduler needs to catch up? I'll let you guys decide and if you need exact times when X or Y happened, let me know.

Place a few bets and all proceeds go to the s@h sponsorship fund!

Sounds good, lets do it
;)

Not quite sure with the scheduler, but since it takes fairly long time to shut-down the splitters it's possible there'll be a complaint about status-page showing red before the outage starts...

Since it's almost impossible to get to the server status from here without passing the front page, don't you think only those people who have bookmarked the link are without a brain? ;)

Else, roll on the flashing arrows pointing to the top News message, guys.

close! very close!
I would say it will be more like 3 min 46 sec :)

During browsing berkeley's homepage I came along this statement that makes me say:
"ME!, ME!, ME!, wants to know, what patch was used and is it available for windows?"

Are you all that desperate, that you need this kind of gallows humor?
It's >17 hrs after coming back to life and still no (in words ZERO) of my computers are able to up-/download anything from SETI.
You can be proud of your game :P
