Usaully can get some really nice night sky pictures as well as sunset pictures. Might make a few into desktop backgrounds and such. Hello! Would love to see some of your pics. Feel free to "jazz them up" with some SETI logos too. With or without or both, anything would be nice to see. Maybe davea at ssl.berkeley.edu. will post them to the desktop section. Seems like there is very little new there, which is strange as many of the SETI crunchers are photogrphers and artists as well. I know it's very clear in New Mexico and Arizona and that the Milky Way is stretching right over the nightsky there as a very ligthning band. So this sky looks real to me! Actually that one is "Poster Art". I started with a black background, then created a starfield, then copied a section (slice) of the dish photo, and processed it to look like poster art, then slipped the moon (from another photo under it) and used a orange photo filter added a little "glow" and then added the text layers. A little more processings and fussing and there you are! "Indiana Doug and the search for life!" poster. (grin) ID: 265301 ·

I still get about 900 hits a month for the graphics on SETI. I sent links to the guys who do the desktops but they didnt even respond, so I figured it was unacceptable. I have both black and whites as well as color (colour for my fellow Canadians), which I will scan as time permits. I just moved to "Northern California" from "Southern California". I am about an hour drive from Yosemite so I intend on grabbing as many pics as I can when I get settled. The horses are waiting fot their apples and carrots just now. ID: 134110 ·

I am sorry if I stepped on your toes there, I REALLY am new to forums! But I will learn fast (I hope). Actually I have no objection to art or photography etc, from any of the Bonic projects. I am currently looking at a few of their projects as well. One of my buddies manages perhaps 250 - 300 computers in Colorado and we were talking about using "his" processors last night. They have an incedible connection as well. Anyway, I have some photographs I am scanning and will come back and post some unretouched samples withing the guidelines on your forum. ID: 134097 ·
