Anyone know what's going on with this project.

The project has finished crucnhing of the 10 dimension matrices. We are now waitning for the last WUs that are still out (deadline: midnight 31. jul.) and on the 1st of august we'll start crunching in 11 dimension. Much more work will be waiting for crunching...
If you like BOINC, you may also find CaretCursor to be appealing.

I created an account but couldn't attach. It says project down for maintenance. When is it due back up?

They are currently between major rounds of work. Not much work for the last week - just re-issues. Only test WUs today. Hopefully tomorrow, real WUs from the new set. The last set lasted a couple of months.

Finally, we've officially launched the 11. dimension. Lots of lots of works are waiting for everyone. (Hint: the currently joined 2000 computers will struggle with it for ages, so tell everyone you can, to join our project :)

At the same time we'll start to evaluate the results of the 10. dimension. Later on we'll provide detailed information of the results. The name of those, whose computer has found valuable informations will be featured on our hompage soon (and a very secret insider news: we are also planning to give away a few gifts for the lucky ones).

I'd like to thank All of You, who have joined so far, for the great work, for the even greater patience in the hard times, and I wish you lots-of-lots-of-WUs from this project (and fo'shizzle I'll try my best to make that wish come true! :)) And keep up the good work!

What gives with the really short deadlines? Some of my slower machines will never make them.

Because of the short deadlines, it is making all my computer only work on that project because of saying it is overcommitted.. So I took it off of my faster computers so that they would process the other programs, and the slower computers that can only do 1 or 2 WUs a day are on that one.

If you leave Sztaki in the mix on your faster computer, it'll download work and crunch it to meet the deadline, but then won't download it again until it's due to crunch, based on your resource share. Let the scheduler have its way for a while, and it'll all balance out to match your defined division of work. If you watch the long-term and short-term debt numbers, you can see the process in action.

Adam,

I don't think the XML stats are working properly again.

As you can see from my signature, the stats say I have no credit although I have 103.75 with RAC of 81.47 as of this post.

Also, when I added my account to my mundayweb account I noticed that my account name "Clark" was missing - it said "(not entered)" on the mundayweb website.

My Sztaki account is 594

I don't think that the XML data has been generated yet as BOINC Synergy hasn't updated their XML data since the 1st of August on Sztaki. I've got more credit at the Sztaki site, but it hasn't made it any further than that yet. There is a thread there that Neil and I both have been posting to/& bumping:

Stats not being updated
No matter where you go, there you are...

It's strange because they did show up and then got reset or something.

It's fine in BOINC itself and unlike some people here I care about the science more than the credits, but it's nice to see if I'm doing something - I rarely open BOINC now...just rely on Neil Munday's desktop widget.

Well, they're new and don't speak that much English so I'll sit here and wait patiently letting it chug in the background.
