Curious, they have an illustrated explanation how the credit is granted for this project! Maybe this a good sugestion for the wiki site http://szdg.lpds.sztaki.hu/szdg/intro.php <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=1331"> |

Curious, they have an illustrated explanation how the credit is granted for this project! You mean this page here at BOINC/Berkeley? http://boinc.berkeley.edu/intro_user.php |

SZTAKI Desktop Grid is a brand new general purpose grid, mainly aimed at Hungary. But don't let the language scare You away, feel free to join the project. You won't have any difficulties joining I think (method is the same as here), but in case you do: just throw me a question to kadam at sztaki.hu By the way, right now we are doing some computation on generalized binary number systems...pretty interesting stuff. Unfortunately we don't have any visalisations at the moment, but will do! So...Hungary welcomes You all!!! If you like BOINC, you may also find CaretCursor to be appealing. |

Just finished the first 3 WUs (1 on each of 3 hosts) Wonder what I just did? Interesting is the WU time, almost identical on 3 very different hosts: Pentium M 2.0: 00:29:21 AMD64 3000+: 00:29:00 AMDXP 2600+: 00:30:33 |

How strict are the deadlines? I have one computer that downloaded some work that will not be finished for an estimated 15 days. BOINC WIKI |

How strict are the deadlines? I have one computer that downloaded some work that will not be finished for an estimated 15 days. Yeah, same here, the estimate is IMO totally screwed. Mine say 15 days estimate too and complete in 30 minutes! /edit That may be playing havoc with the scheduling too - I'm on my 3rd batch with a share of only 2.08%... |

@Adam. I think you'll find a lot of people would love to join the project even though it is mainly aimed at hungary. :) I joined, but I always like to learn more about what my computer is doing. Any thoughts to having some english translations somewhere on your site? |

@Adam. Will do, in a couple of days... If you like BOINC, you may also find CaretCursor to be appealing. |

@Adam While you're looking at translations, I cannot find 'England', 'United Kingdom' or similar in the country drop down list - unless "Egyesult Kiralsag" is the one, in which case a transation would be in order ... |

Well, I've joined and got work for something! LOL! How long did it take for you to get your account email? You know it's slower coming 'across the pond' ;-) |

Well, I've joined and got work for something! LOL! I think it took about 10 minutes. But I wasn't 100% sure I did it right at first - the language differences you know. I ended up opening two windows sid by side, one creating a SETI account in English and one to SZTAKI Project and comparing them for a translation. |

I don't know about this. Joining a project that you cannot read seems irresponsible somehow. I like to know what my computer is doing. What data are you crunching and what will the data be used for? "computation on generalized binary number systems" seem rather vague to me but then what do I know? In these post 911 days I would rather be safe rather than innocent bystanders be sorry. Just my opinion! Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |
