I am running climentpredict, SETI and Einstein. Unless I suspend a porject, BIONC does not swich between them. I have checked the settings for each account (is use for all of them starhawk) and they look fine. Any ideas? Edit: Opps. I am running 4.45 |

How long are you waiting? What are your settings set to for switch between projects? My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

Under my prefs it says 1 hour. Einstein went a full 20 hours (compleeting all 4 work units it had) before switching to climateprediction.net. In addition, Einstein did not request new work. I tried to use update to fetch more work, but it did this: 6/24/2005 9:03:14 AM|Einstein@Home|Sending scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi 6/24/2005 9:03:14 AM|Einstein@Home|Requesting 0 seconds of work, returning 0 results 6/24/2005 9:03:15 AM|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi succeeded 6/24/2005 9:16:23 AM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op When I disabled both SETI & climateprediction, Einstein feched work automaticaly. Also, I tried disabling Einstein and 3-1/2 hours later climateprediction was the only thing that had been running. As far as I can tell, if I want a project to run, I have to disable the other two. |

How new is your install. The schedulers need to do some crunching to create the correct amount of time that it needs to work on each machine. If new, I suspect weird behavior. Let it run for a couple days without playing with settings, see what gets done. My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

I had 4.19 on here for abut 5 months. I have only had 4.45 for about 2 days. I will wait for a few days, and see if things settle out. I was getting concerned that SETI wasn't doing anything at all... |

If it's only been two days, it probably hasn't balanced out yet. I believe it takes roughly twice your connect to preference. |

What is your connection interval set to? Any WU with a deadline nearer than 2 * your connection interval will force the CPU scheduler into EDF in order to get the result finished by the next connection so that a modem user can actually return the result on time. BOINC WIKI |

The new scheduler switches between projects on a much longer interval. Older versions would switch every hour if you had equal preferences. Now, it may be several days between projects as it attempts to balance crunching time against your preferences and the result deadlines. Resist the urge to fiddle with it and sit back and watch for a couple of weeks. |
