Ok, I mangled what you said, you can take a look at it ... since I still don't have a linux computer, I am going to need some of the linux types to help us with dumps of samples ...

But, you can look to see if it still reads ok ...

Okay, this looks quite okay to me!

With the "adresses of the Project's Servers" I mean the ip-adresses. Maybe someone can add them?

Hi,
I'm have some trouble sending and receiving. These are the error messages I get. At the bottom of bonic it says I'm connected to local host. Is it me or server?

It's not you.
The part of the server system that responds to all client requests has been temporarily switched off.

Once the current troubles are resolved, it will be switched back on. This could take a while though, so you might want to attach to another project in the mean time.

Hello. =)
I'd recommend you take a read through the posts in THIS thread,
but also let me point you to the "BOINC and Personal Firewalls" thread,
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=23265
and go to JokerCPoC's reply to my post there, re "500" and "-106".

I hope that helps you. Good luck.

.Cx.

Paul's picks are:

Einstein@Home
CPDN
Rosetta@Home
Predictor@Home
LHC@Home
SZTAKI Desktop Grid

In rough order of allocations ... you will please note that, for the most part, the projects that are actually doing "useful" research are in the forefront. SETI@Home on my list is down by SDG with only 5% allocation as we are not really researching anything here ...

Rosetta@Home and LHC@Home are of course doing engineering with LHC working on the LHC machine and Rosetta working on the Rosetta application that is being used (an older version) by WCG and soon to be used by Rosetta@Home in doing various reseach efforts.

Predictor@Home is doing research, but they don't talk to the participant base that much. If you think SETI@Home is bad ... well ... PPAH is worse (In Paul's opinion). So, they are doing important work, but, ...

When AstroPulse comes out, then likely I will be boosting SETI@Home's allocation because that is a search that is likely to have a more meaningful outcome.
