Boinc is not updating itself when a new version is available

I thought the final release of boinc was supposed to update itself when a new version is available. is this not the case? |

It does not do that. However, any project using BOINC will have their applications automatically download the newest, updated version for processing. You have to still manually upgrade the BOINC CC. Ranz |

I took a look at the BOINC Taskbase and I didn't see it listed. It's a good thing to keep an eye on to see what exactly they're working on, when and if any fixes will be implemented. I don't think it will ever update itself [BOINC] I have seen too many post by IT [network Administrators] there network will not allow the main client do an automatic update. The application does not install it just runs [without a setup] Fred BOINC Alpha Tester BOINC Beta Tester |
