LOL! I'm sorry guys if you think everything these news organization say are gospel your in a sad state.

BBS is on my reading list every morning, I'm sure you have noticed some of their great blunders.

What about the CBS farce, CNN and Sadam?

As for anything political, you can't believe anything our Congress and Senate have to say.

Take it all with a grain of salt and go from there.

I'm allways willing to be convienced, but it has to be real.

I guess 210 Million people (minus one - you) must be clairyoant because we have known all of this for more then a year.

This is not new.. Hasn't been knew is well over a year and will not be new again anytime soon.

Even during the Irag War II the UN said it was false.. Geesh Paul do you ever concede a point. Do you really need me to dredge up every single news article proving my point. CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, MYT, Washington Post and countless other agencies all reported all of this long before the last election.

If you anything new Paul please feel free to inform us; however, please stop rehashing old news over and over and over and over.

Old news it's not....

This quote from the Congressional letter of inquiry shows that agreements were made before Bush requested approval from Congress.

"We write because of troubling revelations in the Sunday London Times apparently confirming that the United States and Great Britain had secretly agreed to attack Iraq in the summer of 2002, well before the invasion and before you even sought Congressional authority to engage in military action."

It might be prudent to actually read the links provided so you have a basic understanding of what you may wish to complain about.

If you have complaints, maybe you should direct them at an administration which conducts itself in a manner which invites Congressional scrutiny.....

Trying to say that I'm just making things up or that I'm the only one questioning policy is a very weak argument.

Again, if you can't address the issues and all you want to do is attack individuals, go start a thread and have at it.

This thread will continue to track the news surrounding the revelations about this newly revealed documentation of deceit.....

Ah, ....rocky,

Better to try to discredit individuals and ignore issues, eh?
The issue seems to be forgotten in all your bashing of the individual..

The rest of what you are on about here...?
....Though it's amusing to see you craft your attempts to discredit someone..... substantive discussion of the thread topic is not in evidence.

(or could it be your intent is to change the subject and draw attention away from an issue you are uncomfortable with.? that'd be my guess)

Paul,
Are you familiar with the statement."the first one to speak loses". Sure you are... Well guess who loses...... No real suprise here. I never mentioned anyone by name...but if the "Shoe Fits"...oh I guess you are wearing it. If my post hits you especially hard, then maybe you should take your re-runs over to a different board. I for one am sick of seeing it over and over and over and over again. But yet, you single me out. One of the "Little people" to call out on the carpet. I think the major problem here is that I can get my message out in simple words, that most people can understand. I don't beat around the "Bush" just for attention. Paul, maybe your lonely on your tiny rock in that big cold State. Well follow the advice of advertisers "reach Out And Touch Someone" Then you will have your captive audience. Or take your show on the road...I am sure some people would consider it a political Comedy, or tragedy, whichever you prefer to call it.

I guess I have to ask why you feel the need to rehash very old news over and over again. We have known that the WMDs did not exist from the time the Coalition troops entered Baghdad.

It has been admited over and over again by the CIA and MI-6 that the information they gave to President Bush and Prime Minister Blair was based on unconfirmed sources.

How about coming up with some NEW news and stop your one man camplaign to discredit the President. Please remember once again that the president only has 60 days for a military action and after that it requires a congressional MAJORITY to keep it going.

That makes 537 people responsible and NOT ONE....

A little sensitive, aren't you Pauly-poo? You can dish it out, but you can't take it? The posts by dbleagle, Steven and Alex changed this thread from your original topic, but you didn't tell those others that this "thread is about information revealing that those who led us to war". Why do you take Rocky's post so personally? Do you see yourself in it?

Pauly-poo, if you think it's all about you, why don't you listen to Rocky's advice rather than what you normally do--attack anyone you don't agree with? I'll answer my own question: (again) you are incapable of seeing any other viewpoint but your own.

For those not yet familiar with the topic of this thread....

A recently revealed memo, from July 23, 2002, reveals that British Intelligence reported to Tony Blair that after meetings in Washington, it was clear Bush had already decided by mid-2002 to a) go to war and b) deceive Congress and the American people to do it.

The recent Washington Post article describing the memo.

CNN has this article.

More links to the memo and the story as it develops have been previously posted in this thread.

This thread shows how divided our nation has become. There doesn't appear to be any middle ground anymore. SAD, so sad
* No just how narrow minded some of it's inhabitants are*

I guess everyone has their own opinion about issues like this.
* Yes they Do*

Do you think that politicians prefer this kind of division though?

*No, I don't believe so. Unfortunately there are those in this land that have Delusions of Grandeur. There are some on these boards that believe that their opinion is the only one that matters. There are those here that want to bash a man, Family or Political Party, for all short-comings they perceive they could correct. There are those that aspire to be politicians, and those that have attempted to become politicians, that could not get elected.

If they know so much more than the rest of us, then why are they still not Politicians, effecting the changes they "Know" have to be undertaken. Could it be because they have spewed their own "Know It All" agenda over the many in their own communities that the community is sick of hearing it. (If they agreed or believed them they would be in office).

No instead, they take to these forums to spew their bullshit in the attempt to prove to the masses how much smarter they are then us. In order to effect change, you need to believe in the complexity of change.

You don't sit in you Ivory Tower and continue to tell everyone that, "What you say is the only way", that "your opinion is the only opinion with validity", That everyone that disagrees with your position is "wrong or Petty". Some of the most influential people in the world are those that have an open mind.

Remember, "We have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason". Maybe some on this board need to recognize that they need to listen more to the vast opinions that so many share.

Instead of condemning them for their opinions. Any one that forces their own beliefs on another as the "Only Right Belief" is a shallow, narrow minded individual that has to attempt to blind people with their brilliance, but only baffles them with their bullshit.

If your going to express an opinion here...do just that. Don't try to manipulate the forums into your own personal "Kingdom". If you don't like a particular Man, Family or Political Party, state it, and move on. Don't continue to bash those same for the inadequacies you have in your own life.

If you are not happy in this country, There are many many uninhabited islands available. You can build your own ideal government, and prove to the world that you are the "POWER", the "Dictator" the "All Powerful Possessor of All Knowledge". If you have difficulty recruiting people to your new domain...take your families, procreate..."Oh, What A Paradise You Shall Have".

If you can't be open minded and respect other people's "Once shared" opinion, then there are many other Message Boards available for you to post your one sided links to "your reality" on. Start your own Web Sites such as " I-KNOW-IT-ALL.COM, or F**K-THE-BUSHES-ELECT-ME.COM or IT'S-BROKE-BUT-I'LL-TELL-U-HOW-2-FIX-IT.COM. If you need help in doing that, there are many free sites to help you create them, but then again, why am I telling you...you know it already.

This has been a public service announcment brought to you by.....
Openminded-little-people for a better America.

You're probly right about that Stephen. Most of what I've posted here is based on what I've been reading in the papers or hearing on the news . I guess everyone has their own opinion about issues like this.

Do you think that politicians prefer this kind of division though? That's what I think. I mean, when was the last time a politician ever admited that they were wrong on TV?

Project for a New American Empire

I missed this post from going up and down too fast.

I never heard of the Project for the New American Empire before, and after reading some of their ideas, I was pretty suprised. Hmm, I was wondering if that site was put together to see how people would react to these ideas. Dunno, sounds like pretty scary stuff. I'll try to find out more about these guys.

Pretty amusing...

I quote information directly from links tom provides and it's suddenly only me 'spouting' leftist rhetoric.

I am 'vomiting' my slanted, ideological garbage....

I never do this, ...I only do that, ..... tom can judge my every move and he 'knows' my every thought and can ascribe to me a justification of only having some nefarious intent....

The ever so haughty tom, feels it's fine for him to direct cute little nicknames which he hopes will be viewed as degrading.

I don't know about this thread only serving to 'agitate'.... db. Agitate it may, all too often some who are faced with a reality which is not in line with their wishes will cause some agitation in those who wish not to have their perceptions challenged.

But beyond that, .... this thread is very revealing.

It reveals bias... it reveals self righteous judgements....

Seems if anyone chooses to refute tom's version of events, they are immediately branded by him as being dismissable, ....for he will judge them as nothing better than 'wrong-headed zealots who never have a clear or honest opinion of anything...

I think it's very revealing about showing who's behaviour here is childish and immature.

I think it's very revealing about showing who's actions are one sided rhetoric.

*************
@ tom,

, ....I almost forgot..

tom, why would you respond to my post as if I interrupted your conversation with Alex?

I addressed no part of my post to you, ......what makes you think you should respond to my post at all?

Don't you know your place? Don't comment unless you're specifically addressed.

As to your throwing anything back in my face ?....... you're dreaming that childish playground dream of yours again, tom.
