Well actually... a nagging thought I have had: how many children do well educated, well motivated, intelligent and upwardly mobile people have in industrial countries? Now how many do people who aren't so bright in those same countries have? If there's ANY genetic basis for intelligence, then (insert your own conclusion here).

[oh my gosh, I've hit a sore point with myself!!!]

What was the "Revelations" show? Surely it couldn't be any worse than the "truth" about the bible code show I saw on - I couldn't believe it - the discovery channel a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be balanced, using statisticians (ha!) who would show how bad all this bible "code" sh*te is. I was wrong. :( It seemed to be full of cryptographics who appear to have no understanding of cryptography.

And I'm also heartily sick of all this "prophesy" sh*te as well, which is related to this bible code sh*te in that it appears to warn of a disaster hitting the US in 2007 or something. While the bible code "predicted" Kennedy's assassination, apparently the "prophecy" was only noticed in the past couple of years. I am being to wonder if the word "prophecy" is undergoing a meaning change, as in my dictionary prophecy means that you get the prediction before the event.
