I beg to differ my friend. I have the proof right here in this link. The name OS-9 belonged to Microware LONG before Apple came out with their OS 9. Next thing you're going to tell me is that OS X came out before OS-9000, and yes there is/was an OS-9000. It was written for Motorola's 68xxx class CPUs.

I just remembered the software that was used to run a lot of them in Wellington here: Searchlight (aka Lurchlight). And the joys of trying to get the modem to work properly. Was gifted two external modems (I hate internal modems) that were exactly the same age, make and model. One would set up easily for incoming and outgoing calls, the other just didn't allow outgoing! Setting up door games... ah, memories. :)

FIDONET! That's what it was! I couldn't remember that name for anything. I hardly ever got a chance to post on Fidonet boards here because their phone lines were chronically busy.

I'd wait out for a quad Cell Xserve first (and that's assuming that Tiger will be good).

I've had an idea of using a few of these in tandem in order to get a small Blue Gene going...

The Mini-in-a-Plus is still up there, though.
