The rankings are "a little bit" skewed when individuals put SETI on a hundred computer network at their jobsite, and the rest of us only have ONE.
Let individual rankings be based on one (their best) computer and save multi-computer systems for team stats.

I agree, but don't think the number of computers that one has should be a factor. But I do think there should be a "corporate rankings" for crunchers using their company's computers and a "personal rankings" for crunchers using their personal computers at home. I would like to compare how I stack up against others that crunch@home. If I was ever to aquire enough computers (I'm working on it...) then I would also like to compare myself to the ones that crunch@work.

If you run just one computer, its very easy to see where you stack up. Just choose "top computers" on the stats and leaderboards page. each computer says who it belongs to.

Although I know where you are coming from. We run 5 computers here at home, I'd like to see how we stack up with others running 5 hosts, all in good fun of course!

Crunch on!

It's no different than it was with S@H-1 though. Lot's of people had many PC's all under one computer account as individuals.

I hope they work on how they display the rankings and such. I'd like to see where I stand more easily. Against everyone, against my "class", etc

How about comparing people with the same amount of PC's?

1 vs 1
2 vs 2
3 vs 3
875 vs 875

Etc...

That would be interesting. At least with BOINC you can see how many PC's everyone has. It'll all work out... give it time.

Everyday with BOINC brings new surprises :)

You're right and that's fair. If someone has invested their own ca$h into multiple systems then they should get the credit for it. The trouble with the way things are set up now is there is no way to tell what's corporate and what's personal.

I've practically given up on those leader boards and their "20 at a time" screens. At least with Seti classic it would have a continual list. 20 per screen helps out our dial-up friends but for the rest of broadband users it would be nice to have an option to see the list at once.

Remember E.T. you only have to click next 20 once then you can edit the URL line to go to whatever range you want immediately. Makes it much faster when you're trying to find your team and you currently rank over 11,000.

Ugh, more editing. Well I tried that and its a real pain going thru THOUSANDS of entries just to find mine. I looked at my computer under my own account and unfortunately there isn't a ranking there. It would be nice if that could be added. Otherwise, I just find it easier using a scroll wheel with it all listed at once. Just my personal pref.

I agree with you, I would like to have my and my teams rankings right on my account page. But I suppose that will have to wait till they get the other bugs worked out.
On the bright side think of it this way. If you know your exact total credit's you can start at offset=5000 then move to 10,000. If you're in between there somewhere just divide by half each time and at most you would only have to try 8 times to get to the page with your listing!

That doesnt even really work. If you look at the number 1 ranking machine it is a 3.06GHz P4 with 898 RAC. I know my P4 2.4 @ 3.0GHz only manages about 145 RAC. I think most of the top computers are really multiple computers with the results merged unless my P4 really is only about 25% as powerful as that 3.06GHz machine.

Or perhaps it should be a strict CPU comparison instead of computers. Someone's 4 processor HT system (IE 8) would score a lot higher than a single non-HT processor. So in my case running a 3.4 P4 HT I'd like to see how I rank in the 2 CPU catagory.
