I didn't have the problem with Boinc 4.19, which I have gone back to. 4.25 has some nice features and once they work out the bugs I will go back to it. I also found my ups was giving me a critical battery alarm as well as an on battery alarm. I haven't had much luck with APC products and living in Lightning Ally an ups is required.

I've got my desktop set to not run when on batteries, and everything still keeps chugging along when the UPS switches over to it's batteries (Opti).

Check your computer's power management settings- go for the Always on option.

That will be set by your UPSs software.

During a couple of lightning strikes my ups switched to batteries momentarily. My preferences say to run on batteries even though it only applies to laptops. Boinc kept everything suspended until i clicked on the old alert and it went away.

I want Boinc to continue even on batteries. I want the ups to shut down the computer if on batteries and the level drop below 50% or some set level. ups = apc Back-UPS ES-725
