warum nicht das hat mit boinc zu tun oder was glaubst du was eine universität in
kalifornien zum programmierung nimmt ausser microsoft compiler man sieht es ja an den zeiten die windows und linux brauchen.

"Mastering Visual C++" is one of the main books. Visual Studio should come with the MSDN's (Microsoft Developer Network) which is a full set of documentation. You do not really need a separate book.

Also, calculating work unit times and/or bechmarks should be unrelated to the Microsoft specific code. I think it is more to do with the operating system itself, not the Boinc code. You probably do not need to understand the Microsoft specific code beyond what the MSDN documentation provides.
