I have a computer which I would love to crunch BOINC. It hasn't got any internet access to send/collect. Is there a way I can do this (on the old system I used to copy workunits to a disc and then transfer to the poot with no access? |

Unless you can use a proxy, the answer is no. All of the WUs are sent to a specific client in order to shutdown the replay cheats. The replay cheat would be to have software that downloads a WU, and then sends the result from a pre-computed result. This apparently did happen. jm7 |

Sorry to sound stupid - I assume by proxy you mean a system similar to seti queue? This is an option, I could create a temporary network connection to transfer the workunits? Has there been such software invented now, if so that will be the route for me? This is a 3ghz poot that I really want to crunch, lol. |

All you need to do now is find some proxy software. Setiqueue may or may not ever be built, as the basic functionality is built into BOINC, and having a different machine do this work was made more difficult by BOINC. jm7 |
