Please DO NOT empty the recycle bin BUT select the full Boinc folder there and make a restore.

What you need to do afterwards is going to the control panel, select "Software" or "Add/remove software" (depending on the OS you have) and uninstall Boinc. BTW, deleting a folder is not the same as uninstalling software.

Afterwards, I would even recommend to restart your PC.

Now you should be able to install the new Boinc software without any problem.

When I try to start 4.25, it tells me that it can't install because I still have an older version still running! I've tried deleting my Boinc folder and starting a NEW BOINC folder. The older version 4.19 and WUs are in the recycle bin and a new boinc folder initiated. IT STILL SAYS THAT I STILL HAVE AN OLDER VERSION STILL RUNNING AND WON'T INSTALL VERSION 4.25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Do I need to dump everything first?????even out of the recycle bin????????
