The orignal founder of my seti team under "classic" got bored with seti. He gave me the password and turned over "management" of the team to me. When my team migrated to BOINC. I lost the ability to manage my team. Is there any way to get control of my team again?

Not at the moment. This has been requested before (including by one person whose team leader died).

As John wrote, not at the moment. But having the Classic password for the team founder account may be a good basic for a possible in the future upcoming solution. So better don't loose it.

I add you to my personal list of 'team founder vanished' problems and continue to find a way to help you.

Greetings from Bremen/Germany

There is a second solution. Just get the AccountID from the actual Team Founder and transfer the foundership to someone else. Under My Account -> Account Statistics -> Manage Team

If you or the old founder can still get email for the email address in the BOINC founder account this is not a problem. Activate the transfered founder account in BOINC and be happy.

But as I understand David he couldn't activate the transfered founder account. In this case there is nobody who can transfer the ownership of the team.

I got control of my group back. I had the "classic" email address and password for the original founder. When they added the migration path for classic users I just created an account for him and used one of my email addresses for his account. Seti mailed me the "key" and I'm in now. Thanks for your comments.

Now if I could only "import" my classic units to my new boinc units. I lost access to my old email address that I used to create my original classic seti account and had to start over with a new email address for my boinc seti client work.

If you can set your email addresses both places to the same, you should get the update next snapshot.

Dave:

Sorry to be off topic and to post this in a forum, but I don't know how else to reach you. Any way you could make the pic on the team page a bit smaller? Say 800 x 600 maybe? Really nice pic, but it is bigger than my monitor, and takes too long to download (and I have broadband!) Pity those with dial-up!
