The new client 4.25 (BOINC menubar) works fine but after a while the menubar application simply quits without any error message. The core client keeps crunching though. The only way to quit is via the activity monitor. I am aware that this is beta-level software. I do not complain, just report the problem. |

I have noticed this I have found that if re launch the menubar it wont work until you restart the computer. Which is a pain as a I rarely have occasion to restart my computer. |

Wait until it really quits and then restart menubar. |

I had forgotten about Activity Monitor since I have never really used it before. Thanks for the info. Will Cushman San Diego |

Does BOINC Menubar works the same as a screensaver? Just like Seti@home classic? Or do I lose my screensaver when classic shuts down. |

I think we need to use the command line version to get our pretty pictures. I'm going to try slogging through it for the third time and see if I can get my graphics back. |

So far the only problem I've had with the BOINC Menubar is that it's a bit finiky about attaching to SETI when you're setting up the accounts (B ▶ Manage Projects… ▶ Add button). It took me three tries, but I finally got it to work. Getting the graphics back would be pretty easy — I'm sure that someone in Berkeley could make an animated B in the menu bar to indicate what % of the current WU is done, or replace it with an icon of the currently running project (An "S" for SETI, "E" for Einstein…). I'd like to be able to change the font, size, and opacity of the log window, but that's a mere cosmetic affair — It runs well, and that's what matters. |

I tried using the activity monitor to force quit the application and it just keeps respawning. Its actually p*ssing me off. I can't seemingly kill this process via the terminal window or using the activity monitor. I am going to try restarting my machine now. |

The BOINC Menubar, the Seti@Home app, or the Boinc app? Which one refuses to die? |

You can at least control SETI with SETI Control, which I don't seem able to do with the Menubar! |
