> You could say that I'm the kind of person that might even hang out with Lucifer.

LOL, with statements like that, it's safe to say you aren't truely christian.

> I think that I would try to do something to help Jesus by giving him some water or something.
> I guess you could say I'm a complex or unusual character

Nothing complex or unusual about wanting to help those in need, it just means that you're human. Even I work in the projects all day as a carpenter making sure the "less fortunate" have a warm, dry place to sleep.

Look at it this way, the bible is a very good example of how one should lead their life, but it is FAR from a true story.

> You breathe air you cannot see..but you know it's there.

I know it's there because I see it move the trees. I can feel it when the wind blows. With a windmill I can put it to work grinding wheat or providing electricity. Through science, I can even break it down and tell you what air consists of....http://education.jlab.org/glossary/abund_atmos.html

Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a common and potentially lethal disease; unfortunately, the diagnosis is often missed because patients with PE present with nonspecific signs and symptoms. If left untreated, approximately one third of patients who survive an initial PE subsequently die from a future embolic episode. Most patients succumb to PE within the first few hours of the event. In patients who survive, recurrent embolism and death can be prevented with prompt diagnosis and therapy. http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic1958.htm

More than 600,000 people in the United States have a pulmonary embolism each year, and more than 60,000 of them die. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/pe/pe_what.html

By my count, that's only about a 10%+ death rate.

Didn't find anything specific on cluster clots, but I know a stroke is caused by a clot blocking a blood vessel in the brain. Obviously you do not have full blockage and your taking blood thinners which not only prevent the blockage from growing, but in most cases, start dissolving it as well.

Again, I don't see a miracle or divine intervention. I see MAN striving to better himself and succeeding.

I understand why you still don't think that I can be a Christian if I don't adhere to doctrine 100% BrainSmashR. Or if I question certain things in life.

I meant complex or unusual in the way that I described how I might see things sometimes. Heh, I always thought of Lucifer as the cool angel that got thrown out of heaven for doing things that you and me might consider to be normal. And that God just exaggerated things a bit. Now that would be a good example of independant thought. It also goes against church teachings to even consider such a thing.

This is exactly how people of faith describe their knowledge of god

How can you argue with that?

Because every creature on this planet with the power of sight can see the wind blow.

How many people have seen god?

To such an extent that it's labeled a mortal sin (an unpardonable sin entailing a total loss of grace such as murder or blasphemy).

As much as I hate to say it, I do understand completely now......probably better than you even understand it yourself.

You are a typical christian. You claim to feel one way but your actions tell a significantly different story.

If you feel that helping the less fortunate in my community is somehow demeaning, then it's obvious you are truly christian too.

Everybody complains about their job. You'd know that if you had one.

Everybody is also equally aware that welfare abuse exists, and as a taxpayer, it pisses me off.

However, that does not diminish the feeling in my "heart" at the end of every day when I know I've made a difference in a part of my community that needs it the most!

It just kills you to know I'm that much better of a person than you and I did it without god, doesn't it?

When have you heard me complain about my job like a little crybaby (aka you).

> You'd know that if you had one.
Look thru your anti-SSI dribble and you'd see that I do. Does your problem lie with your reading or your comprehension?

> However, that does not diminish the feeling in my "heart" at the end of

In other words you feel lucky that the State of Louisiana doesn't hire illegal aliens.

For an alleged rational person you just made an irrational statement. As I said above if you could manage to read and comprehend you'd find I live in a much better place and make much better money than you, and with God. Your average turnip can plunge a toilet. The world citizenry are glad you are happy in your work.

I have a job and I don't complain about it--in fact, I love it. What a sad world you live in that you would believe such a thing. Perhaps you should pray about it.

Sorry, I missed the thread on being the fluffer. Not really into that.

I guess I should ask you the same thing. I'm not anti-SSI, I'm anti waiting for it to blow up in our face before doing something about it. You know we put steeringwheels on cars to avoid potholes.

LAF, what kind of a liberal moron are you?

Money and material possessions do not make my world go round and I have more than enough to meet my needs.

As one who claims to be a belieer, you should know greed and gluttony are 2 and 3 of the 7 deadly sins. Do you know which numbers are envy and anger?

A cheap comeback. Interestingly enough I didnt expect more from you. You must have work on your mind.

Do I really need to pull the rug out from underneath your feet by quoting your statements? Granted that would require a little work and we all know how much you love your work.

> LAF, what kind of a liberal moron are you?
Your attempt at insult implies you are an illegal alien. If true then that would explain why youre so against SSI. Its because you wont get it. Ever.

> Money and material possessions do not make my world go round and I have more

If the cost of living in your gator infested swamp shack is so low then stop crying.

> As one who claims to be a belieer,
Belieer... Definately an illegal alien.
