Although the first thing that came to my mind was two two-legged guys. |

I won't even attempt to.... |

Ancient joke: Q: What does an agnostic, dyslexic, insomniac do? A: Stays up all night wondering if there really is a doG. |

>â€Agnostic: A person who believes that the human mind cannot know whether there is a God or an ultimate cause, or anything beyond material phenomena.†I would see it, that if they can’t define the god they speak of then we can’t begin to discuss it because we don’t know what they are claiming. A God that made Adam and Eve for example, could be very different to an unknown natural phenomena responsible for all of existence. Why would we assume that it’s unknowable? |

Interestingly, Webster’s dictionary [American] is the first known dictionary to distort the the meaning of atheist. The original author had a Christian bias. "I am a theist," means, "I know that God exists." "I am an atheist" means, "I do not know that God exists." Appending the Greek prefix "a" could in no way be construed as meaning, I know that God does not exist." [Chester Dolan, "Blind Faith"] "I am an atheist because there is no evidence for the existence of God. That should be all that needs to be said about it: no evidence, no belief." [Dan Barker, "Losing Faith in Faith: From Preacher to Atheist"] ~~~~~~~~ |

Agnostic in the dictionary form that I provided, would be different from the literal sense of agnostic that I was referring to when I responded to Pual's description of me being Agnostic. Having questions about, or not having scientific proof of certain religious history, doctrine, etc, would be an example of being agnostic in a literal sense. |

This is the correct form. Just to add, I don't have anything against an athiest person. Nor do I think that religion should be imposed on someone. |

I'm not sure about that Alex. I think it means "without belief in god" rather than, "without god". The reason I say that is because "theist" means "One who believes in the existence of a god or gods" IMO Understanding each others deffinitions is the main problem in religious discussions. |

If I remember, witches were accused of being "without God" in the old old days. |

Heh, I think you just said you don't have any knowledge of atheism. [edited] |
