I think we should have more control in merging hosts. I have acouple of hosts which are upgraded OS's, but the merge option doesn't show the old host names. Let ME chose which hosts to merge!

Me again. I read an earlier post & ans., and now see why the hosts can't be merged, even though they are the same computer. Maybe a way to retire a host, and put the credit in a 'retired' catagory?

Hi,

I can't understand why it must be impossible to merge hosts even if they have the same speed. I noticed that I can't merge hosts because the CPU Type changed from
e.g. Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.60GHz Pentium to GenuineIntel Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.60GHz.

I think that it sould be possible to merge hosts with the same name and/or same IP-address.

Regards,
Martin

I'm currently struggling with the same problem. Can't merge even though it's the same machine.

One shows as an AMD 2600 and the other as an AMD 2600 Pentium. It's the same machine and there's no way currently to merge them.

Would add my voice to this request.

G.

I suppose one reason might be that you could merge a bunch of hosts to create a "superhost." People that care about host rankings (not me) might get annoyed.
