Hey, My first computer was also a Vic20. After that I went up to a used Apple IIe that was sold to my family. I think it would take a Vic20 probably closer to 6 months to a year to compute a Seti WU. Jim > wow, i feel young. i needed that *smiles* > my first was a Vic20 (which we killed numerous times before anyone told us > about static electricity... they just kept replacing the poor thing). I never got around to upgrading to the HP48. All I have is the HP28S. I still love the RPN as opposed to the typical calculator. I had to quit school before I got a chance to get a 48. :( > > > shoot, we could probably do one by HAND in a year or 2 ;) > i've got an HP48 calculator that is just sitting around... > > > |

My Dad did bring home the kewl HPs from work once in awhile...Lunar Lander anyone? LOL

I guess we're now so off topic that I might as well mention that my first computer was a TI-99/4A. Hated its BASIC, hated its keyboard, hated its RAM, but loved its graphics. It probably still works... I tried once to type in Lunar Lander from a copy of Antic Magazine - That was probably the 2d longest one I tried. I gave up after a month of being chained to the keyboard... |

Thanks for the many replies. I think it must be the interference, then. I hope to upgrade my mainboard/CPU the next weeks, so I will see...
