If there is no work from the project, or the project is down, you will get this message in addition to a message telling you why you are getting deferred.

Most likely, you are doing nothing wrong, it is a server problem.

Not strictly true, at the moment all the servers are just responding with lines like the following...

SETI@home - 2004-07-07 13:00:34 - Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi
SETI@home - 2004-07-07 13:00:38 - Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded

and thats it, no work, no error message, no nothing.

I get this same message consistently until I have only 1 WU left to crunch. Then, amazingly, I download 10 or so WU's and I'm back in business. As long as you are getting WU's you should't be alarmed. I have my cache set for .5 to 1.5 days and have never run out of work for more than an hour.

Again, take a dep breath and relax.
All good things come to those who are patient.
