When it comes to the strange and the wonderful, one great name always
comes to mind, Salvador Dali. Salvador Dali was one of the great painters
of the 20th centuary. He was a man who saw the world in a very different
way. Some say that he had a twisted mind, but most just see the wonder
and imagination that went into his work.

And how about Antoni Gaudi....

He was a Spanish Catalan architect of the Modernisme (Art Nouveau) movement famous for his unique style and highly individualistic designs.

Tiare, i will have to check out this guy Antoni Gaudi. The name
rings a bell alright. The link to the dali-galery i allready
had it bookmarked.
I think you may be fermilar with this one from Dali.......

This particular picture is what drew me to Dali's work in the first place.
I first saw this picture when i was about 15. It captures all that
is great about Dali's work. I spent hours as a teenager studying
this picture. There is a lott going on in it.

Check out the 3D illusions section on Julian Beever's pavement drawings and for some weird effects on the eye, the later works of M.C. Escher, from '41 onwards, particularly Relativity,
