With help from D.W.W., I got BOINC 5.5.13 installed over 5.4.11 in an effort to stabilize SETI@Home WU's with Chicken's Optimized App. and SETI-Beta WU's unoptimized... I've read, (and been told), that even though the optimized app. running under the SETI@Home folder in BOINC is separate from the SET-Beta Folder in BOINC that somehow if running any Optimized App. for SETI@Home WU's that SETI-Beta has issues and will freeze the system. That's what I was experiencing... Lots of system freezes every time Beta kicked in to crunch. Rebooting didn't help, either. Now running 5.5.13 and so far, so good. Wish me luck.
