I was first introduced to the Incompleteness Theorem around twenty-five years ago, by Douglas Hofstadter’s Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, a book I would recommend highly to anyone interested in artificial intelligence and such related topics as mathematical logic, philosophy of mind, pattern-recognition, and creativity. (Not to mention excursions into music, art, genetics, and Zen.)
