I was just looking at the top teams and see where my team was
and I see the top team is SETI@Netherlands thats great but
I don't understand some of the RAC and Total Credits
Is this a discrepancy and someone explain to me how there is more rac than credits?

Not to sure on teams, but if you merge computers if one has lots of credit then the merged computer is seen as having done lots of work in very short time, therefore RAC spikes upwards.

So maybe if someone has just joined with large credit it may have done same thing.

I don't think that's it. As far as I can recall, when you join a team, your credits don't come with you.

So if you have 1000 CS and then you join team A and crunch another 1000 CS, you will have a total of 2000 CS and team A will have 1000 CS. If you leave team A for team B and crunch another 1000 CS then you will have 3000 CS and team A and B will each have 1000 CS.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm too lazy to look it up in the Wiki at the moment :O

What you stated is correct, however Winterknight was refering to a large rac as a consequence of merging. Not that the points moved with the participant.

AS I looked and looked again have to agree that something went haywire...

Me a one person team that has an advantage and 6 computers running Seti Enhanced am generating a bit over 700 RAC/day... So when we see a RAC of over 100,000 and a total credit of 18,000 something is definately wrong.

How could you force a "new computer id" to be merged and then force another computer id to be merged again... to reach the 114,000 RAC?

I have two instances of the same computer that I can not merge...

Al
