Thanks for the win SusieQ.
Let's hope we'll get som Parkes data soon. Or at least something more fresh than data from 2011.

So, start posting, and have as much fun as possible on this almost abandoned board.
We should all be given a free SETI toaster, for keeping it alive :-)

The Last Person To Post Here Wins Thread, general rules:

1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread (use the red cross to notify them)
6. Go to 1.

Is that you, Tut? :) I'm going to assume it is and say congratulations on your win, at you... down there ---v

Congratulations on the win! :)

Hoping the year ahead is a good one, for everyone because I've not been all that impressed with what this year dished-up-then-dropped... at all. No. I mean, I expect someone got their pudding, but I don't know who. Anyway, happy new year everyone :) may health, happiness, prosperity and ET be waiting for us all.

I've got a door doing that on our lounge floor.

Weirdly, I saw a "project down for maintenance" notice here a little while ago, and now it's gone.

edit for clarity (for which you are all very, very welcome): except it's called a front-room in the uk

Well, I was Tut, but then I realised/realized that Tut was dead:-)

Thanks for the congrats anniet, and a Happy New Year to you.
And since even the the thread starter should avoid double posting, I'll also say Happy New Year to the rest of you here.

Now just keep posting, I still haven't decided when the thread will end.

Well, I can openly admit that the one who sends me a brand new Porsche of any model, will be declared the winner :-)

*begin preparations for anniet's any-moment-now-win...?*

I came across a Porsche a couple of days ago and if I'd been up-to-date on my board-reading, could easily have picked up a window wiper, perhaps even a bumper or two-erm... how do you feel about... bits of one...? Porsche-instalments sort of.

On the subject of Christmas decorations - I've only just taken ours down*. On the subject of Tinks - I was going to post an update, but then I spotted the return of the rogue-wideness-spirits in the seti threads. Yes :/ And it reminded me of how unbearable my posts are under those conditions - so I haven't.

Maybe one brief sentence per line space would be tolerable...? It would mean a major overhaul of how I tap out stuff on the keyboard however.

*exit to conduct feasibility study*

* I considered leaving them up all year - but the extra dusting put me off. I gather that's what's recommended if you don't have them down by twelfth night. Not necessarily extra dusting... but to appease the wood spirits. I doubt there are any in a plastic tree through.

A late-ish start for it today. Wonder if it'll be a long or short one ..
