Apparently they screwed up on server memory upgrades where they had trouble finding matched pairs of Dimms that worked.

Never heard that excuse before.

YMMV https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=can+you+mix+dimms

Difference....
There is one mod over there with exposed, tender toes, but he's not a mod over here.

Ahh so this is where the GOM's hang out.

Hmm, well lets put the record straight

I believe this:

Was not aimed at me but another moderator. I say this as I assume I am the moderator refered to here;

About the only damn place in Boinc-land that he isn't ......

As I am sure "EOF, 95% Beta." will confirm his original argument was not with me.

As to Porsches, how mundane, never liked them, no, I had a TVR Tasmin

2.8i Ford engine and a fibreglass body. Lets just say it was quite quick. ;-).

PS. I have noted the lack of moderators here and have passed the word along.

Have a nice day

I believe it is down to Eric now. Essme hasn't been active here in a while. But that speaks to how much one is needed here, except of course when a certain person gets his knickers in a knot.

Those with more taste and panache ran BMW's.

You do know what BWM stands for don't you?

But the best ones had a Rover V8 and gearbox at the pointy end (and sounded MUCH nicer than the woolly v6....)

I don't talk much about my brother, do I? There's a reason for that, people ;) and reminding me of quite probably the worst family gathering I've ever had the misfortune of accepting an invitation to, especially at the moment when there have been... others *hollow-eyed blink* to rival even that carnage... isn't particularly wise ;) Not unless you want a wall of text describing it in all its excruciating details... ?

No?

Okay :)

If you’ve ever purchased a car, chances are you put a lot of thought into the colour you choose. After all, you’ll be driving around in your pride and joy for many years and you probably don’t want to be getting from point a to point b in a car that isn’t a colour you like.

Car manufacturer Holden has teamed up with Angela Wright, author of The Beginner’s Guide to Colour Psychology and the founder of London-based consultancy Colour Affects, to uncover the kinds of car colours that align with different personality types.

“Specific personality types have an affinity with certain colours that can influence purchase decisions for anything from clothes to cars,” Wright said in a statement.
source

white, could mean that you’re a peacekeeper, open-minded, optimistic and hopeful.

black is for professionals who are reliable, pragmatic and stable and is often associated with power and sophistication.

blue is often a colour chosen by those who are dedicated, faithful and calm,

red signifies energy, passion and is the colour of choice for those who crave attention

pink car owners are typically romantic, hopeful, sensitive and delightful. - awwwwwwwww :)

If green is your thing, it typically means you’re generous and protective,

yellow car owners are typically artists who are creative and humorous

orange tend to be interested in adventure and are more likely to be enthusiastic, uninhibited and independent.

purple typically signifies you’re protective, ambitious and individualistic.

grey car owners are generally wise, intelligent and insightful,

paler shades of brown can mean you’re charismatic, confident or successful, and

darker shades - supportive, down-to-earth and comforting.

Not really, my second hand Chevvy Matiz just happened to be that colour on the forecourt. It had the specs and the price that I wanted, the colour was irrelevant.

Okay, now we know from the horses' mouth.

Sorry, wrong.
But I don't think the article was just about you. I'd have thought it would have said so somewhere if it was. Perhaps I missed it...

I'd be too ashamed to drive a pink car as a man.
Ashamed? Rly? Even if it had the right specs and price that you wanted?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color
Did you read all of that yourself? cos I just did :) Some bits were exceedingly interesting. Like this one for example:

researchers at the University of Linz in Austria demonstrated that the color red significantly decreases cognitive functioning in men
I even went and perused the source, I was that intrigued... ;) [/quote]

From March 1st next year, I will retire. And thanks to some good budgeting/planning/savings over the years,
I will not have to take out any money from my pension for around 2 years. The longer I can wait, the more money I get each month, when I start taking out my pension money.

Finally my planning ahead pays off :-)

And we will be totally out of work in a few minutes, if no more task are added.
It'll be nighty night :-)

This one is partly to blame, adding new computers all the time (179 now, but will be more tomorrow), filling them to the brim with tasks, and never finish any tasks (a few maybe on a few of his computers)
