Eric indicated that Parks data has arrived. It may be quite soon that we will have real test data here.

There is some work do to from the staff first.
The splitter code has to be written and not to forget the science application has to be written..
Since this will be seti v10 IIRC this will also take some time.

It will be interesting to see if it will be finished this year.

It will indeed. Will we have a new Lunatics installer to go with it?

This depends on Richard.

First the v10 stock apps needs to get optimized.
Than a few weeks alpha testing, followed by beta testing.
Only after some weeks of stable beta results we can think about a new Installer.
If everything goes smooth it could be done within 2 weeks maybe.
But this depends how big the changes are.

My other half got me a second edition copy of her household management tome many years ago now. We laughed... Of course she'd already been long dead by the time that came out. I've read everything in it except the recipes mostly. I found it an interesting social commentary.

Mrs.Beeton would turn in her grave
No she wouldn't. She'd be telling people useful stuff about them, like don't put them in a dishwasher. Things like that. She'd have probably lifted that from the manual it came from first though. She really didn't have much experience of... well... doing any of what was in it. I think her husband probably had hopes she'd pick up stuff along the way... and she probably did, she just didn't have very long to do it in.

Today's date is allegedly the 1st of October, which is also October the 1st. I've decided not to believe it though, but maybe Rob hasn't.

Happy Outrage day - let's hope they turn the scheduler back on after the outrage so we can get some of the lovely tasks that are waiting for us :-)

I know it is too easy to set off a rant if some people are in earshot.

I love history. :-) It's amazing to see in this day & age, the relics from the past of Empire, Colonel Blimp are still with us. :-)

Why? Does true history bother you?
No. Does it bother you?

;)

I just used to be better at recognising minefields :( that's all. Weighing my words and either steering a wiser path in case, or just plain saying nothing at all was second nature to me when my mum was living with us. It really was so much easier, and pleasanter, for everyone - to simply not set her off... like it would have been here if I'd stayed away and not posted.

edit - I thought it made an interesting read - the link I mean :) and it seems a lot less cart-before-the-horse somehow...
